Karmine Corp achieved a remarkable upset earlier this year by defeating Fnatic, a superteam that had secured victory in two out of three international events last year, with their only losses attributed to LOUD and Team Liquid. KC’s decisive 2-0 victory over Fnatic earned them qualification for Masters Madrid, marking the organization’s and most of the players’ inaugural participation in an international VALORANT tournament.

While Martin “Magnum” Peňkov boasts previous experience with Fnatic at Masters Reykjavík 2021 and 2022, as well as Champions 2021, the remaining four players will be making their Masters debuts. Despite an initial setback with a 2-0 loss to LOUD, the team embarked on an impressive journey in the VCT Americas Kickoff tournament. They triumphed over 100 Thieves and Leviatán before navigating through the challenging play-in round robin to reach the playoffs. In a notable feat, Sentinels overcame the NRG superteam in the playoffs to earn their ticket to Masters. Subsequently, they secured a thrilling 3-2 revenge victory over LOUD in the final.

Throughout the Kickoff event, Sentinels displayed an exceptional level of gameplay, participating in more matches than any other Americas team (21 maps and 429 rounds). Despite revealing extensive gameplay to their opponents along the way, they emerged victorious.
