WWE Smackdown 8/3/24 :

Logan Paul strides into the arena, soaking in the cheers and seizing the moment to chat about his Dallas roots. With his trademark confidence, he talks up his track record in and out of the ring, boasting about his ability to pack stadiums and rake in big bucks for WWE. He drops the bombshell that his company, Prime Hydration, has partnered with WWE as the first-ever center-ring sponsor, starting from WrestleMania onwards.

Just as he’s about to introduce KSI, the atmosphere crackles with anticipation as Randy Orton’s theme hits. But instead of Orton appearing from the wings, he slides out from under the ring, catching KSI off guard with a timely block of his attack. Orton swiftly turns the tables, hitting KSI with his iconic RKO, leaving him sprawled out over the Prime logo on the mat.

Ever the showman, Orton grabs a discarded bottle, takes a cheeky sip, and gives it a nod of approval before playfully pouring it over KSI’s crotch, much to the amusement of the crowd.

And just like that, the scene fades to a commercial break, leaving fans buzzing with excitement.

Randy Orton & Kevin Owens v/s A-Town Down Under( Theory & Waller):

Owens and Theory kick off the action, engaging in a classic exchange of holds with Owens gaining the upper hand with a slick arm drag into an armbar, all the while taunting Grayson Waller. As Grayson eagerly tags in, itching for a shot at Randy Orton, the Viper enters the fray, immediately asserting dominance by backing Waller into the corner and delivering a brutal eye thumb. However, Orton’s focus wavers momentarily as Theory distracts him, allowing Grayson to capitalize with some well-placed strikes.

In a quick turnaround, Owens re-enters the match, only to find himself on the receiving end of some relentless offense from the heels. Despite Owens’ resilience, the heels continue their assault, maintaining control of the match as they execute swift tags and double-team maneuvers.

Returning from the commercial break, the heels persist in their relentless assault on Owens, preventing him from making a comeback. However, as the match progresses, tags are eventually made, leading to a fiery burst of energy from Orton as he unleashes a flurry of devastating moves on Waller. Orton’s signature snap scoop powerslam leaves Waller reeling, but just as Orton seems poised for victory with his patented hanging DDT, Theory intervenes, almost securing a surprise victory with a sneaky pin attempt.

Following the match, Logan Paul launches a surprise attack on both competitors, blindsiding them from behind and unleashing a barrage of strikes on Kevin Owens. Just as it seems like Paul is about to escalate the assault by brandishing brass knuckles, Randy Orton intervenes, seizing the weapon from Paul’s grasp. In a tense moment, Paul narrowly avoids being on the receiving end of the knuckles, causing a close call for Owens.

Despite the chaos, Owens and Orton maintain their composure, sharing a moment of camaraderie as they fist bump in acknowledgment of the intense situation.

With tensions simmering, the scene fades to black as the show heads into a commercial break.

After the break, Kayla Braxton conducts a sit-down interview with Bayley, who admits feeling isolated and questioning her alliances, particularly with Damage CTRL. Meanwhile, Bianca Belair questions Naomi’s sympathy for Bayley, leading to a brief exchange before Lashley’s entrance signals a shift in focus.

Bobby Lashley v/s Karrion Kross with Scarlett:

As the action resumes, Lashley and Kross engage in a fierce exchange, with Lashley’s clubbing blows met by Kross firing back punches from the corner. Kross manages to execute a fisherman suplex, sending Lashley to the floor where he’s thrown into the barricade. Attempting a fireman’s carry, Lashley’s plans are thwarted by Scarlett Bordeaux, allowing Kross to gain the upper hand by tossing Lashley into the ring post before the break.

Returning from the commercial break, Kross maintains control, unleashing kicks in the corner and connecting with a powerful exploder suplex. He transitions into a rear chinlock, but Lashley fights back to his feet only to be dumped to the floor by Kross. Outside the ring, Lashley manages to reverse the situation, slamming Kross into the post before re-entering the ring.

However, just as Lashley seems to gain momentum with a spinebuster, the Authors of Pain storm the ring, initiating a beatdown. The Street Profits rush in to even the odds, sparking a chaotic brawl. Despite their efforts, Lashley falls victim to interference from AOP, leading to his victory by disqualification.

As tensions escalate, Scarlett’s involvement draws the ire of B-FAB, resulting in a confrontation and chase backstage. Lashley attempts to lock in the Hurt Lock on Kross, but AOP intervene once again, leaving Lashley laid out in the ring.

The scene shifts to a backstage encounter between Dragon Lee, Elektra Lopez, and Santos Escobar, with Lee mocked for his admiration of Rey Mysterio and others. Escobar asserts Legado del Fantasma’s superiority, diminishing Lee’s significance before the confrontation turns physical, with Lee being shoved to the ground and mocked before the trio departs.

The segment concludes with Tiffany Stratton making her entrance, setting the stage for the next phase of the show.

Tiffany Stratton v/s Michin:

As the match progresses, Tiffany Stratton takes control by slamming Mia Yim and driving her face into the turnbuckles repeatedly. She follows up with choking Yim in the ropes while taunting her verbally. However, Yim manages to fight back with a flurry of punches, only to be halted by Stratton’s back suplex, which earns a near fall.

In a reversal of momentum, Yim counters Stratton’s attempt at the Styles Clash with an Alabama Slam…

AJ Styles gets a video package explaining that he traveled the world to attack LA Knight because he acts like he owns the place but actually doesn’t belong in the same locker room as him. He thought the schtick was funny until LA stole his momentum, and he’s just the man to put him in his place.

Knight offers a rebuttal in the form of smashing a TV with a chair and telling AJ he’ll see him next week.

Legado del Fantasma make their entrance and we go to break.

Angel Garza v/s Dragon Lee

Angel Garza faces off against Dragon Lee in a fast-paced matchup. Lee starts strong with a series of aggressive moves, including a dropkick and an outside-in dropkick. He follows up with stomps in the corner and a hesitation dropkick, but only manages a near fall. Garza, however, capitalizes on a moment of vulnerability, feigning a knee injury before delivering a cheap shot. He gains control with mounted punches, a headbutt in the ropes, and a running knee that sends Lee crashing to the floor before the break, leaving the heels to pose triumphantly.

After returning from the commercial break, both competitors struggle to their feet, with Lee showing resilience as he blocks punches and retaliates with flying forearms. He executes a Tree of Woe double stomp, but Garza counters with a kick. However, Lee turns the tide with a reversal into a hurricanrana.

In the post-match chaos, Legado del Fantasma ambushes Lee, launching a brutal assault.

Meanwhile, backstage, Damage CTRL delivers a defiant promo. Dakota Kai asserts her role as the mastermind, while Kairi Sane and Asuka critique Bayley’s lack of foresight. IYO SKY emphasizes that Bayley was never part of their plans and declares that her era has always been in motion.

As the tension escalates, Nick Aldis attempts to locate Cody Rhodes, only to find himself met with confusion from a security guard who is unable to provide any leads.

Rock & Roman face-off against Cody & Seth

Returning from the commercial break, the commentators build anticipation for next week’s show as The Bloodline makes their grand entrances.

WWE Undisputed Universal Champion Roman Reigns takes the microphone and asserts their greatness, shaking hands with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and demanding acknowledgment from the crowd for both of them. Meanwhile, Cody Rhodes and WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins make their entrances, emerging from the crowd to join the fray.

Once inside the ring, Cody acknowledges the tension but expresses gratitude for the moment in front of the sold-out crowd in Dallas. He addresses The Rock’s challenge and stipulations, questioning whether he has the authority to make such decisions.

The Rock dismisses Cody’s question, emphasizing the familial bond between them and the significance of acknowledging Roman as Tribal Chief. He reiterates the high stakes for WrestleMania, with the future of both nights on the line.

Seth Rollins interjects, asserting their readiness to accept the challenge, but not before delivering some verbal jabs at Cody. Reigns warns Cody of the consequences of defeat, while The Rock ups the ante by threatening Cody’s future title opportunities.

In a shocking turn of events, Cody delivers a slap across The Rock’s face, sparking a tense moment between the competitors as Roman Reigns puts a hand on his cousin’s shoulder.

And with that, WWE Smackdown to a dramatic close.
